Understand the Land

Determine where to focus your planning efforts and detail the characteristics of those focus areas. Take initial observations and measurements of the resources under management and share any learnings that can be monitored over time.

Understand the Business

List the current and potential enterprises of the operation and understand any challenges or barriers. Additionally, if a steward is in need of new markets, they can complete this questionnaire and the responses will be used to help match them with marketing opportunities.

Understand the Management

Understand the management practices within the crop rotation and look for opportunities to implement soil health principles and efficiencies. Also, account for the most important equipment in the operation and capture any desire for machinery updates.

Determine areas of opportunity, identify needs, and solve short-term problems to allow for long-term planning.
